From tire design to factory production
Manufacturing requirements need to be considered during development. Material selection, equipment capability and process conditions all influence how consistently a tire can be produced. The support continues through production trials and industrialization, helping manufacturers implement the specifications developed for the product.

Saterex: putting the expertise into practice
EURL Saterex, the company behind IRIS Tyres in Algeria, approached Black Donuts as a newcomer to tire manufacturing. Its ambition was to establish a factory and develop tires capable of competing with leading international brands.
The initial project was a passenger-car tire plant designed for a capacity of two million tires per year. Black Donuts supported tire and compound development, tread-pattern and curing-mold design, raw material specifications, testing, factory engineering, MES and industrialization. In our published customer case, Saterex describes the importance of this support. Without its own R&D capability at the outset, the company relied on Black Donuts for product development and on-site assistance in implementing the manufacturing specifications and instructions.
The cooperation brought tire design and factory development together, supporting Saterex from its initial plans through the work needed to establish production.
